It uses AI to generate personalized cocktail and mocktail recipes based on your available spirits, flavor preferences, and occasion. Available in 9 languages with AI-generated hero images for every drink.

## How It Works

1. **Discover drinks** — Browse curated cocktails and mocktails or tell the AI what spirits and mixers you have.
2. **Get AI suggestions** — The AI generates personalized drink recipes based on your preferences, occasion, and available ingredients.
3. **Try Drink Roulette** — Spin the wheel for a surprise cocktail matched to your taste profile.
4. **Take challenges** — Join timed mixology challenges with ingredient constraints and compete on the leaderboard.
5. **Plan drink menus** — Organize your party or event drink menu with AI-assisted suggestions.
6. **Share recipes** — Get a unique link for any drink recipe, complete with an AI-generated hero image.

## AI Cocktail Discovery

MixSurprise uses advanced language models (OpenAI GPT, Anthropic Claude) to generate drink recipes. Tell the AI:
- What spirits and mixers you have available
- Flavor preferences (sweet, sour, bitter, smoky, fruity, herbal)
- Occasion (casual evening, dinner party, celebration, brunch)
- Alcohol preference (cocktails, mocktails, low-ABV)
- Style preferences (classic, tiki, modern, molecular)

The AI returns a complete recipe with ingredients, measurements, step-by-step mixing instructions, garnish suggestions, and serving tips.

A gamified cocktail discovery feature. Spin the wheel and get a random drink tailored to your taste profile. Factors include:
- Previous drinks you have liked or saved
- Spirit preferences from your profile

- Complexity level preference

Every spin is unique. Save your favorites for later.

## Mixology Challenges

Timed mixing challenges that test your bartending skills:

Each drink gets a unique, AI-generated cocktail photography image:
- **Self-hosted SDXL** — GPU-accelerated image generation on EC2 instances

- **OpenAI DALL-E** — Alternative fallback
- Images stored on S3 with CloudFront CDN for fast delivery

## Profile System

Anonymous profile with optional personalization:
- Display name and avatar

All profile data stored locally in localStorage. Optional server-side sync for cross-device access.

## Privacy

All user data (favorites, preferences, progress, drink menus) is stored locally in the browser's localStorage. No accounts required, no server-side user data. Optional cross-device sync uses shareable codes via API — data expires after 90 days of inactivity.

## Technology

Built with Vue 3, Vite, Tailwind CSS, Pinia, vue-i18n (9 languages with RTL Arabic). Backend: Express 4 on AWS Lambda + API Gateway + DynamoDB. AI: OpenAI GPT and Anthropic Claude for recipe generation. Image generation: Self-hosted SDXL on GPU EC2 with Amazon Bedrock and DALL-E fallback. Hosted on S3 + CloudFront.
