Use MixSurprise Inside Claude and Other AI Agents (MCP)
"What can I make with what's in my bar?" is exactly the kind of question an AI assistant should be great at — and usually isn't, because a good answer needs real proportions, a sense of balance, and an idea of the occasion. MixSurprise does that for a living. Now it pours straight into the assistant you're already using.
MixSurprise is live as an MCP server. MCP — the Model Context Protocol — is the open standard that lets AI agents call real tools instead of guessing. Connect it once and Claude (or ChatGPT, Cursor, or any MCP client) can invent a cocktail, plan a whole weekly drink menu, and browse a curated collection — with proper measures, build steps, and flavor profiles.
What your assistant can do
- Generate a cocktail — from any prompt ("a smoky mezcal cocktail for a summer party," "something gin-forward and low-sugar"), get a full recipe: ingredients with measures, build steps, flavor profile, strength, and cultural notes. The app's "surprise me" magic, in the chat.
- Plan a weekly drink menu — a Monday-to-Sunday menu with aperitif, pairing, nightcap, and special slots, tuned to an occasion, party size, and what's already on your shelf. MixSurprise's signature move.
- Browse the curated collection — a hand-picked set of cocktails filterable by spirit, style, flavor, strength, or occasion. Free.
Browsing is free; generation and the menu planner run on a daily free allowance — no credit card. Because the assistant reasons over the results, you can say "plan a gin-forward menu for a BBQ for eight, then scale the Saturday special to a pitcher" and get it in one exchange.
Connect in about two minutes
In your MCP client, open connector settings, add a custom connector, and paste the Keelara MCP server URL — leave the OAuth fields blank, since registration is automatic. Sign in with a free Keelara account, set the tools to Always allow, and go. The full walkthrough and FAQ are on the MixSurprise MCP page, and you can try each tool live in the linked Keelara console playground.
The full app is still here
The connector complements MixSurprise, not replaces it. Keep experimenting with the random cocktail generator and building a full spread with the drink menu planner when you want the visual experience. And since its sibling CookSurprise is an MCP server too, one Keelara login covers drinks and dinner. Connect MixSurprise and let your assistant mix with you.
